A Story from one of our fans!
To Jupiter's Arrow:
I read your weebly post on OBEs and Lucid Dreams. I wasn't sure where to reply to you but I know what I'm about to type will be longer than the comments will accept on FB. I've been fascinated by the dream state my whole life. I've had many de ja vue like experiences, seeing a glimpse of my future before it happens, sometimes with the ability to change the event as it happens here in 3D. Even after reading your post, and the various states and defenitions of OBEs/lucid dreaming,
I still can't define the coolest dream I ever had. I had this dream in 1997. I was young, married and had a baby. My marriage was less than ideal. I had gone to bed spent, broken & crying asking if this was it because I'm not happy. I woke up & it was so real, and clear. But I was confused at the same time. I had the feeling of knowing I was in my kitchen, but not the one I had at the time, it was unrecognizable. I was either doing dishes or preparing food. And I couldn't tell if I was singing or laughing but both were happening. The man I was standing next to reminded me of my grandfather. The shape of his head was burned in my mind and he was Asian, but I couldn't tell from just his profile in the dream if he was Chinese or Japanese. I'm white. Long story a bit shorter, I dated another guy in between my ex and my now husband. When we first met he had hair, so his head shape wasn't totally apparent, but I suspected he was the guy in my dream. I wondered if he was and how could we end up together? He was married and I was engaged. Scandalous, I know. Karma, anyone? We were together about a year before we moved into our current home. After we lived here for about 6 months, the dream I had some 7 years earlier, came true. We had just finished watching "Walk the Line" about Johnny Cash, whom my grandfather LOVED. We went into the kitchen, he started doing dishes and I started chopping veggies. He was singing "Ring of Fire" with extra twang & it was hilarious. In that moment, I felt the rotation of the earth & it felt like reality crashing into itself in my head. I know that sounds weird, it's just the only way I can explain it. Looking back, I think i couldn't tell what i was doing because I was seeing from the universal I perspective. I either saw my future or saw a parallel universe and felt the jump. I humbly look forward to my next "trip." May you have fantastic journeys.
